1st ECHO Folk Dance Workshop 2011 - PFDS - Cebu Province Chapter

The Philippine Folk Dance Society- Cebu Province Chapter (PFDS – CPC) will conduct its 1st Regional Echo Folk Dance Workshop on July 16 and 17 at the Consolacion Covered Court (beside Consolacion National High School) and on July 30 -31 at the Badian Covered Court (Poblacion).

This activity aims to:
1. address the needs and concerns of teachers and students in folk dance education and folk dance production;
2. address the needs of the Local Government Unit in the promotion of festivals by linking the need for knowledge of folk dance; and
3. help develop better understanding and appreciation for Filipino traditions in dance and music.
The participants to this activity are teachers in all levels, dancers, members of the dance groups, dance trainers, those in-charge of dance groups, directors, choreographers, and LGU tourism, culture and arts officers and designates.
A registration fee of Eight Hundred Pesos (Php800) for teachers and LGU representatives and Five Hundred Pesos (Php500) for students with valid ID will be charged to each participant. The fee includes handouts, kits, audio cd, and PFDS-CPC t- shirt. It does not include meals, board and lodging.
